Manon Worms, Hakim Bah, Ramona Bădescu and Jeff Silva will gather on the set after the screening, to close the evening with a cross-conversation on the notions of working-class gesture and popular culture. The discussion will be moderated by Marie-Charlotte Calafat, Director of Collections at Le Mucem, and will echo the museum’s new exhibition “Popular”.

Combining their respective approaches to stage and writing, and nourished by documentary resources, Manon Worms and Hakim Bah have imagined a fiction where, at the end of the 1960s, the history of immigrant workers intersects with that of the established, proletarian and feminist left-wing activists who left their studies to lead the revolution in the factories.

Biographies

Manon Worms is a director and writer. She lives and works in Marseille. With her company Krasna, she combines creations that fall somewhere between theater and performance with workshop cycles with various structures in the social field in Marseille. Her main areas of research are political struggles reworked through intimate experience, and the way in which writing and acting can give strength to these links. In addition to her own creations (Coeurs Fugitifs, 2020, Indestructible, 2024, Arcanes, 2025 and various short plays), she works as an artistic collaborator and dramaturge with a number of artists from the fields of theater, public art, performance and dance. She also runs workshops, courses and training sessions for a variety of audiences, and holds a doctorate in Performing Arts and participates in various research-creation programs.

Hakim Bah is an author, director and actor. His many plays have been published by Lansman Éditeur, Théâtre Ouvert, Quartett and Passages. As a director, he has staged Outrages ordinaires by Julie Gilbert, and his plays Pourvu que la mastication ne soit pas longue with Arthur B.
